Microsoft India Private Limited has launched the Voice for Innovation campaign on 15 December in India

Microsoft, software giant has launched the Voice for Innovation project in India. The Honorable Minister for Science and Technology, Kapil Sibal launched the Voice for Innovation portal. The event was organised by Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS). Microsoft has launched Voice for Innovation programme to give strength the Indian manufacturing sector, especially the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to be able to compete at the global level. The aim of the initiative is to make new platform for exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions between different stakeholders involved in the process.  According to the Minister, the Voices of Innovation virtual community, supported by Microsoft and implemented by CSDMS will be the key knowledge sharing platform in the innovation arena. National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) has also partnered with Microsoft in this project to improve the overall competitiveness of Indian Manufacturing through skill enhancement. Microsoft is also launching the ICT based intervention model, Project Vikas, which will empower the SME sector and give it a competitive edge in the global market.
