Pakistan Govt. initiates for e-Government projects

Sindh Government has planned to develop an Internet Media City plan, which will cover almost 200 acres of land in Dubai city.

According to Advisor of Sindh Chief Minister for Information Technology, Noman Saigal, has planned to develop an Internet Media City in Karachi to promote information technology and media in metro cities. The Sindh Government is working on e-Policing project, which will cover more than 400 police stations of Karachi. All 400 police stations would be computerized in the first phase of the project. The project would be connected with FM radio, which will guide citizens for good and smooth driving. A project named 'e-government in Sukkur' is under development and the cost of the project is INR 30 million. Even the Sindh Government is also planning to open large number of data record centres.
