Jharkhand nominated for the best e-Governance state award in India

In India, Jharkhand has been nominated for the best e-Governance state award given by the Computer Society of India. Computer Society of India has nominated Jharkhand for its campaign for the introduction of e-Governance in administrative system.

The other nominated states are Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and New Delhi. Every year CIS give the CSI/Nihilent e-governance award in two categories: Project and State. The final selection would be made by jury on November 4, in at the department of management studies at IIT. Jharkhand is the first state to complete its statewide area network (SWAN), called Jharnet.
