ICT comes in African postal services

Still Postal services are most popular means of communication. Now ICT is also looking forward in this sector in Africa.

According to Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, Minister for Communications Science and Technology, Botswana Post office will provide the services and it can used to reach out to communications countrywide. About 117 the Botswana Post Offices can be used to get the government computer network, where the member can access the government information. This postal network could be used for business information, services and applications like passports and national identity. Botswana Post system has adopted Hybrid Mail System, which uses ICT solutions that will expedite mail handling and reduce customer cost.
