IBM launches online English skills in India

IBM India Research Labs has developed the new web based service which will help Indians to help to improve their English speaking skills through online program. The service is based on advanced speech processing techniques. Initially this service program was developed for Indian call centers but now it is available for schools and business also.

According to Dr. Ashish Verma, researcher at IBM India Lab, this technology will help Indians to improve their English language skills. The technology will help users in evaluating their English speaking skills on grammar, pronunciation, comprehension and other spoken-language skills. Even it will also help users to evaluating their punctuation and grammar skills. Firstly this tool would be available as game-like tool on the web.
