The European Union has injected Euro17 million (about Shs35 billion) in the Information Communications Technology training programme for tutors and principals in health training institutions.

The project, which is being co-ordinated by the Ministry of Education and Sports, is an initiative to develop human resource in health training institutions and ensure a well-trained workforce that is able to cope with the computer era. The coordinator of Developing Human Resources for health project in the Ministry of Education and Sports, Dr Jane Egau Okou, said part of the money would be used to develop and rehabilitate infrastructures in health training institutions.
