The new government of Uganda revealed that it would bear an ICT ministry under the supervision of ICT expert Dr. Ham Mulira.

The new ministry has come as good news for the ICT fraternity after a long wait and it is also very certain that Dr. Ham Mulira. Before his nomination, Dr. Ham Mulira has been the Director of Uganda Computer Services and he was once the General Manager of MIS in the then Uganda Commercial Bank (UCB). In justifying his nomination, the president conferred that Dr. Ham Mulira is considered for technical reasons, a statement that has understandably lifted the lid to further consolidate his position as the best person suited to fill the newly created ICT ministry.
