e-Bidding programme launched for DGS&D

The Union Government if India launched an e-Governance programme for the Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS&D) on Monday.

The launch of e-Bidding for DGS&D rate contracts would bring more transparency in the process along with reducing procurement costs. The initiative would largely benefit small-scale industries, as they would now be able to bid online for a contract and secure payments. The e-Governance initiative had four components
