All round development of village is encouraged

The concept of best village of the year competition, Hertfordshire comes as an encouragement for development of infrastructure among the village communities.

The concept of best village of  the year competition, Hertfordshire comes as an encouragement for development of infrastructure among the village communities.

The competition looks at six aspects of village life business, building community life, young people, older people, the environment and information communication technology (ICT). Villages can enter as many categories as they like, but to be in line for the village of the year, they must enter all six. The competition is organised by the Hertfordshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and is sponsored by Calor with with Hertfordshire County Council.
