A forum of 16 Pacific Island countries was in progress in Wellington on improving access to ICT.
The People First Network (Pfnet), the internet service of the Solomon Islands has been chosen as a model that the rest of the Pacific can emulate. The meet aims to develop a regional digital strategy as promised under the Pacific Plan. Cutting the connectivity cost is in the top priority of the agenda.
