Uber pacts with Bangalore metro to provide connectivity at metro stations

Cab hailing platform Uber has collaborated with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to provide last mile connectivity to travellers everyday.

Uber will set up exclusive booking counters across 12 metro stations through which commuters can book the cab.

Uber employees will be available at these counters to provide hassle free service to the consumers.

“This partnership is a great example of how the public and private transport can work together and complement each other’s strengths in order to help solve major issues that citizens face, in this case, last mile connectivity,” said Christian Freese, General Manager, Uber  (Bengaluru) in a statement.

Earlier this month, Uber has partnered with JioMoney that will enable people to pay for their Uber rides using JioMoney.

The partnership will give a boost to cash-free payments across the country and provide mobility options to millions of Jio users.
