Dynamic leader and technocrat from 1989 batch, Rajesh Aggarwal now joins the rank of principal secretary, Department of IT in Maharashtra government. The announcement was made on January 1, 2014 by Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra.
It has been his vision and diligence that has put Maharashtra at the forefront of other states on landmark achievements and projects in IT and e-Governance over a short span in the department. As an evidence to his work stands 100+ awards won by the state government at various national and international forums for e-Governance.
Some of the landmark initiatives that have excelled under his guidance include UID (Adhaar) program, Government Cloud, implementation of IPV6, launch of mobile applications, localization and accessibility, implementation of paperless office, e-Tendering, Implementation of CSC in collaboration with district collectors among many others.
