Around 250 odd eSeva centres would be merged with the numerous Rajiv Internet Village centres covering rural areas and APOnline. These eSeva centres are serving citizens in 15 cities and 111 towns through a variety of consumer services, while Rajiv Internet Village centres are offering data on various Government activities.

Once they are merged, these centes will function as Rajiv Citizens’ Services Centres (RCSC). It is expected that these service centres will bring services in rural areas. The state government is planning to open one RCSC for every six villages with Central assistance. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has taken the decision, after reviewing the results of e-Governance initiatives along with the officials of the Information Technology & Communications Department.
