Thailand’s e-Government system has ranked 46th out of a hundred countries assessed by the United Nations e-Government Readiness Index. Thailand is behind other three Southeast countries, Singapore (7th), the Philippines (41st) and Malaysia (43rd).

e-Government is one strategy of the Royal Thai Government. It is in this context that every government agency is therefore now moving forward to modernise its office by using information and communication technology (ICT) to provide move e-Services to the public.

Lokvani is an innovative model of Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) implemented in district Sitapur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a self sustainable solution, wherein the existing cyber cafes are being leveraged to act as franchisees, benefiting the citizens, the administration and the kiosks operators.
