Janadhar is the e-Governance initiative of the government of Uttarakhand. Started in March 2005, the initiative was taken up with funding from the UNDP and technicalguidance by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT).
Unesco’s International Programme for the Development of Communication (Unesco-IPDC) has approved $ 60,000 for the establishment of the first 10 community radio in India. Unesco is funding in collaboration with organizations like Alternative India Development (AID).
