The BSNL plans to migrate 5 per cent of its customer base of over 5-crore to 3G around the middle of 2009. Movie-on-demand, video streaming and video calling are among the services promised by 3G cellphone technology and would reach all south Indian mobile users soon.
Solar Water Heaters for Hospitals
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has decided to install solar water heater systems in its medical institutions to save energy. A total of 62 solar water heaters will be installed at a cost of INR 2.64 crore at five major hospitals of MCD including Hindu Rao Hospital, Swami Dayanand Hospital and Kasturba Hospital.
