  2. Open DigiLocker on an Android device.
  3. Click on the UMANG icon.
  4. Install the UMANG app when prompted.
  5. Access a variety of government services directly within DigiLocker.

Some committee members highlighted personal experiences of subpar service on BSNL mobiles. BSNL officials assured the Estimates Committee of service improvements within six months, with plans to equip nearly 1 lakh mobile towers with 4G, up from the current 24,000 towers, as part of the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.

The committee voiced concerns over BSNL’s market share dropping to around 7%, with private operators becoming more popular. MPs, all of whom are issued BSNL SIMs, echoed dissatisfaction with the service.
