
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Wardha district in Maharashtra on 20th September to participate in the National PM Vishwakarma Programme and lay the foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park in Amravati. At approximately 11:30 AM, he will join the National ‘PM Vishwakarma’ Programme, marking one year of progress under the PM Vishwakarma initiative.
During the event, the Prime Minister will release certificates and provide loans to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, marking a significant milestone in supporting artisans. He will distribute credit under the PM Vishwakarma scheme to 18 beneficiaries representing 18 different trades. In honour of their contributions to society, a commemorative stamp will be released, symbolising the success of this initiative.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati, Maharashtra. The 1000-acre park, being developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), is part of a larger effort by the Government of India to establish seven PM MITRA Parks nationwide. These parks aim to position India as a global textile manufacturing and export hub, fostering innovation, attracting significant investments, including FDI, and generating jobs within the sector.

Additionally, PM Modi will launch the “Acharya Chanakya Kaushalya Vikas Scheme” by the Government of Maharashtra, establishing skill development centres in leading colleges across the state. The program will train youth aged 15 to 45, aiming to empower around 1,50,000 young individuals annually with free skill development, helping them become self-reliant and employable.

In further support of women entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister will also introduce the “Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Women Start-Up Scheme.” This scheme will provide up to ₹25 lakh in financial assistance to women-led startups in Maharashtra, with 25% of the funds reserved for women from backward classes and economically weaker sections. The initiative is designed to foster self-reliance and independence among women entrepreneurs.
