The Odisha government has executed a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring several IAS officers across the state. Nikunja Bihari Dhal (1993-batch IAS officer), the incumbent Additional Chief Secretary to CM Mohan Majhi, continues in his role while also retaining his position as Chairman of IDCO.

Another 1993-batch IAS officer, Surendra Kumar, currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the government, has been given the additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department.

G Mathivathanan (1994-batch), previously Additional Chief Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Departments, is now appointed as the Director General (Training Coordination) at the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration in Bhubaneswar, succeeding Anu Garg (1991 batch).

Usha Padhee (1996 batch), serving as Principal Secretary in the Skill Development & Technical Education Department and holding additional charge in the Commerce & Transport Department, will also retain her additional role as Principal Secretary in the Housing & Urban Development Department.


Hemant Sharma (1995 batch), currently Principal Secretary in the Industries Department with additional responsibilities as Chairman of IPICOL, will maintain his additional charge as Principal Secretary in the MS & ME Department.

Saswat Mishra (1996 batch), presently Principal Secretary to the Governor with additional duties as Chairman of the OSSSC, continues to hold additional charges as Principal Secretary in the Finance and Energy Departments.

Vishal Kumar Dev (1996 batch), the current Principal Secretary in the Department of Finance with additional roles as Chairman of GRIDCO and Principal Secretary in the E & IT Department, will also remain Chairman of OFDC.

Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma (1999 batch), who served as Commissioner of Land Records & Settlement, is now appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary in the Sports & Youth Services Department.

R. Vineel Krishna (2005 batch), previously the Sports Secretary and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been transferred as the Commissioner in Land Records & Settlement.
