In a recent development, the Andhra Pradesh government undertook a major reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including those who were awaiting postings. The chief secretary, A Santhi Kumari, issued orders on Friday, announcing the transfers and new appointments.

Among the notable changes, Anudeep Durishetty, a 2018-batch IAS officer, was appointed as the new collector and district magistrate of Hyderabad. He replaced Amoy Kumar, who had been holding the position in an additional charge capacity. Prior to this appointment, Anudeep served as an additional collector for local bodies in Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Furthermore, Dr Shashank Goel, a senior IAS officer, assumed the role of Director General at Dr MCR HRD Institute and also took up the responsibility as the ex officio Special Chief Secretary to the government, relieving Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka. Shailaja Ramaiyer, who was previously in the post of Director, AYUSH, now serves as the Principal Secretary to the government in the YIT & C Department, relieving Sandeep Kumar Sultania.

Other notable appointments include Harichandana Dasari as the new Director of AYUSH, Dr Korra Lakshmi as the Director of Sports, and K.Haritha, who was transferred and posted as Joint Secretary to Government in the Finance Department.


Additionally, K.Nikhila, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as the Director of Tourism, while M Satya Sarada Devi took on the role of Deputy Secretary to Government in the Agriculture & Cooperation Department. Priyanka Ala, previously serving as Additional Commissioner in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), has been appointed as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Bhadradri Kothagudem. Anudeep Durishetty has been duly relieved from this position.

Furthermore, Ila Tripathi, who held the position of Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Mulugu, has been reassigned as the Collector and District Magistrate of Mulugu. She replaces S. Krishna Aditya, who has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the Telangana State Pollution Control Board, relieving Neetu Kumari Prasad from the position.

Muzammil Khan, who previously served as Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Siddipet, has now been appointed as the Collector and District Magistrate of Peddapalli. S. Sangeetha Satyanarayana has been relieved from her duties to assume the role of Managing Director of TS Foods. Notably, Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu has been relieved from the position.

In another significant transfer, Prateek Jain, the former Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Rangareddy, has been designated as the Project Officer of ITDA in Bhadrachalam. Gowtham Potru, who held this position, has been appointed as the CEO of SERP, relieving Sandeep Kumar Sultania from his current position on a full additional charge (FAC) basis.

Other transfers include Venkatesh Dhotre, previously serving as Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Kamareddy, who has been transferred and posted to the same position in Mahabubnagar. Similarly, Abhilasha Abhinav, the former Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Mahabubabad, has been reassigned as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Khammam. Sneha Shabarish, on the other hand, has been placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department to assume the role of Additional Commissioner in the GHMC.

Additionally, M. Manu Chowdary, the former Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Nagarkurnool, has been transferred to Kamareddy, while Divakara T. S, the previous Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, has been reassigned to Jagityal. Kumar Deepak, the former Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Peddapalli, has now been appointed as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Nagarkurnool, replacing M. Manu Chowdary.

Furthermore, Chekka Priyanka, the CEO of Zilla Parishad in Karimnagar, has been reassigned as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Peddapalli. Jalda Arunasri, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Karimnagar, replacing Garima Agrawal. Meanwhile, Chandrashekar Badugu, the former Additional Collector in Nizamabad, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Sangareddy.

In a significant move, Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas, previously serving as Joint Collector (Trainee) in Karimnagar, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS), relieving D. Ronald Rose from these positions.

Pratima Singh, the former Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Medak, has been reassigned to Rangareddy, while Garima Agrawal, the previous Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Karimnagar, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Siddipet.

Finally, Manda Makarandu, who held the position of Additional Collector (Local Bodies), has been posted as the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation in Nizamabad, marking a significant change in the administrative landscape of the district.

These transfers and postings are expected to bring fresh perspectives and enhance administrative efficiency across various districts and departments in the state.

This reshuffle comes after the last major transfer of 15 IAS officers in January earlier this year. The state government aims to optimise administrative efficiency and bring fresh perspectives to key positions with these new appointments.
