Nandita Gupta, 2001-batch IAS officer (Himachal Pradesh cadre) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for an overall tenure of five years up to 14 December 2022 from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
Gupta earlier was serving as the Joint Secretary, Housing & Urban Affairs. She has also held the posts of Joint Secretary in Government of India and Director, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India as well.

Gupta holds a degree in M.Phil (Sociology).
