Interview

Please tell our readers a bit about the efforts Microsoft is making towards digital learning.
Microsoft as a company is focussed on bringing the benefits of Information Technology (IT) to the underserved community around the world by supporting non-profits that are providing basic IT skills for economic and social empowerment. Operating in over 101 countries, with over 1000 non-profits, we have now supported about 33250 initiatives. Since its launch in 2003 with a five-year, US$250 million commitment, the Partners in Learning programme has touched the lives of more than 80 million students, teachers, and education policymakers in 101 countries.
