P K Sarangi (IAS:UP:1986), has been laterally appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development. In his new stint, Sarangi replaces T Vijay Kumar (IAS:AP:1983) as JS, RD. At present, he is serving as Joint Secretary, Department of Land Resources.
