UBA partners FG on e-Governance initiative in Nigeria

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has partnered the Nigerian Government to organise workshop on the adoption of e-Governance in the country. The special Workshop will held from May 15-16, 2007, in Lagos.

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has partnered the Nigerian Government to organise workshop on the adoption of e-Governance in the country. The special Workshop will held from May 15-16, 2007, in Lagos.

The theme of the workshop is 'Government/eReadiness Capacity Building Workshop for Commercial Banks', which is sponsored by UBA. The event has been organised in collaboration with the Office of National eGovernment Strategies, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, National Information Technology Development Agency and the Bureau of Public Service. The main aim of the workshop is to equip and educate Nigerian banks, individuals and businesses on the imperative to adopt electronic payment and administrative procedures in transactions involving government institutions, agencies and parastatals.
