The National Institute of Smart Government (NISG) has organised a three-day workshop on e-Procurement in Himachal Pradesh (HP), India.
While addressing at the e-Procurement workshop, S.S. Parmar, Chief Secretary said HP has made significant growth in the field of e-Governance and emerged as one of the leading computerised States in the country. He informed that the state has projects like Himbhoomi, Himris, e-Praman, Refnic, Sarthi, Vahan, Treasuries Computerisation and Integrated Community Service Centres, which were aimed to computerise the existing processes and systems as well as improve the service delivery system to the various stakeholders of the society. The state government has initiated the electronic government procurement (e-GP) under its e-Government programme. The project will increase efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of government procurement as well as enhance various other government objectives. The project is also aimed to ensure that government procurements become simplified, transparent and result-oriented. The state government is fully committed to implement e-Procurement in various departments and organisations.
