State Govt. to invest INR 60 million in e-Governance Project of WB, India

The West Bengal (WB), (India) Government is planning to invest INR 60 million in its e-Governance project. Later on, government is planning to implement this project in panchayat level.

This e-Governance project is aimed to provide better administration and improved services, requires an integrated approach between various departments of the state. The state government had formed a 16-member e-governance steering council to implement the statewide e-Governance project at the grassroots level. The role of the steering council would be to provide overall guidance for the project and ensure proper integration with the various ministers.
