AAI launches web portal for Chennai Airport in India

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has launched a web portal for the Chennai Airport, (www.flightinformation.in).

The web portal will provide information regarding departure and arrival of flights of both international and domestic airlines operated out of Kamaraj Domestic Terminal (KDT) and Anna International Terminal (AIT). Passengers would be able to access the information by sending the flight number through Short Message Service (SMS) to 6263 or exclusively from portal. Any mobile subscriber can access this service.  According to Dinesh Kumar, Chennai Airport Director, both the services would be accessed globally. The portal will also provide other useful passenger-friendly information such as travel tips, weather report, calendar, and leading hotels in Chennai, list of tour operators and links to some of the other useful websites.
