An e-Governance initiative by Drishtee, a network orchestrator is delivering free based services in rural population of Madhubani district in Bihar, India.
Drishtee is expanding its e-Governance initiatives by providing free based services in rural area of Bihar through ICT kiosks. Drishtee is providing fee based services on e-Health. The cost of the project is $3,000. Drishtee will set up kiosk cooperatives in villages to help villagers communicate with respective health centers. The centre will be equipped with mobile phones and computers, which will be connected with hospital computers through Internet. Doctors will send reports through the internet and prescribe medicines accordingly. The centres will also store reports of blood pressure (BP), ECG and pulse rates or regular patients. Drishtee has tied up with Bangalore-based Nerosynaptics and local NGO, Janani, for the project. Nerosynaptics will provide systems at the kiosks centres.
Currently, Drishtee will provide e-Governance, computer education, health, photo studio, insurance, communication and local services, village to business e-Com, BPO for villagers, agriculture, rural finance, retailing for FMCG and consumer goods. Drishtee’s network will cover 1020 kiosks and Vistaar dealers will provide services in 46 districts in nine states. Initially, the organisation will introduce a rural e-Commerce, Drishtee Haat, to provide a marketing platform for rural artisans.
