Gemini Comm bags order for village panchayats computerisation in Tamil Nadu (India)

Gemini Communication Ltd has bagged Rs 20 crore orders from Electronic Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) in India for computerisation of 6,096 village panchayats.

Gemini Communication Ltd has bagged Rs 20 crore orders from Electronic Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) in India for computerisation of 6,096 village panchayats.

Gemini Communication is a Chennai based IT solutions provider. It is a dominant player in WAN/ LAN networking solutions. The project is a part of the rural development programme to enable e-Governance in gram (village) panchayats. The current order is a part of the rural development initiative for the computerisation of the village panchayats to enable administration and e-Governance to the village panchayats. It will facilitate easy access to records and civil services for the villages, as stated by Gemini.
