Progressive drive by DTK for further IT penetration in the Middle East

DTK Computer Middle East, leading technology brand and IT developer, has announced a progressive drive to further IT penetration in the Middle East region by launching entry level technology platforms such as its Cruiser 5015 desktop PC.

DTK Computer Middle East, leading technology brand and IT developer, has announced a progressive drive to further IT penetration in the Middle East region by launching entry level technology platforms such as its Cruiser 5015 desktop PC.

Cruiser 5015 desktop PC is being sold at a price lower than AED 1000 in the regional Markets. DTK is also supporting the various initiatives launched by the regional authorities aimed at promoting IT penetration in the Middle East. In partnership with AMD, it is working towards a 5015 initiative by which 50 percent of the global population will be afforded IT connectivity through flexible IT solutions by the year 2015. It is also active in promoting inclusive e-Government in the Arab world and sponsored the recently held 12th GCC e-Government forum organised by Datamatix. The recently released UN report on global e-Governance placed the UAE at number 42nd in the world in terms of e-Government readiness, but at the same time it is number one in the GCC region. UAE had moved up 18 places from 2004, where it was ranked 60th in the world. Most other Arab countries in the region also showed positive movement in the e-Government readiness rankings.
