Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh issued guidelines for effective implementation of contingency plan to provide relief measures for farmers over a teleconference held in Hyderabad.

The guidelines include in providing timely technical advise to farmers on pest management, crop planning and crop shifting based on the situation and rainfall pattern in the state. He also called for the helplines for timely and sufficient availability of required inputs in activating helplines and control rooms of revenue and such other departments in the state.
