Delhi Assigns New Roles to 3 IAS Officers; Nandini Paliwal Gets Power Department

The Delhi government has reassigned responsibilities to three IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre as part of an administrative reshuffle. Nandini Paliwal, a 2003-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Secretary (Power) and will also hold the additional charge of Chairperson of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).

The changes also include new appointments in the Revenue and Vigilance departments, along with a change in responsibility for the Services Department.

Key IAS Appointments and Transfers

The major changes announced by the Delhi government include:

  • Nandini Paliwal (2003 batch): Appointed Secretary (Power), with the additional charge of Chairperson of DSSSB.

  • Pawan Kumar Sain (2005 batch): Appointed Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner of Delhi. He takes over the position following the transfer of Neeraj Semwal to Arunachal Pradesh.

  • Nidhi Srivastava (2010 batch): Appointed Secretary (Vigilance), with the additional charge of Secretary (Services). She was awaiting a new posting and will take over these responsibilities from Paliwal.

Changes Across Key Departments

The reshuffle covers three important areas of Delhi’s administration: power, revenue and vigilance. Paliwal’s appointment places her in charge of the Power Department while also assigning her responsibility for DSSSB, which conducts recruitment for various posts under the Delhi government.

Sain’s appointment as Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner follows Neeraj Semwal’s transfer to Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Srivastava’s new role brings the Vigilance and Services portfolios under her responsibility.
