SECI, CEEW Join Hands to Boost Renewable Energy Growth

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in advancing India’s renewable energy sector and accelerating the country’s transition to clean energy.

The partnership aims to support the development of innovative business models, improve power market mechanisms and promote sustainable growth across the renewable energy ecosystem.

MoU Signed to Support Clean Energy Transition

The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Akash Tripathi, Managing Director, SECI, and Dr. Arunabha Ghosh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), CEEW.


The agreement was formally signed by Prashant Soni, Deputy General Manager, SECI, and Dr. Arunabha Ghosh, in the presence of Sivakumar V. Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI.

The collaboration brings together SECI’s expertise in renewable energy implementation and CEEW’s research and policy capabilities to support India’s evolving clean energy landscape.

Focus on Future-Ready Renewable Energy Solutions

Under the partnership, SECI and CEEW will work together to develop innovative and future-ready solutions for the renewable energy sector.

The collaboration will focus on creating new business models, strengthening power procurement mechanisms, supporting clean energy market development and encouraging the adoption of innovative technologies.

Officials said the initiative is designed to make India’s renewable energy ecosystem more efficient, resilient and sustainable.

Promoting Innovation and Knowledge Sharing

A key objective of the partnership is to encourage knowledge exchange and build institutional capacity in the renewable energy sector.

Both organisations will collaborate on research, policy support, capacity-building programmes and the sharing of best practices to address emerging challenges in the clean energy market.
