Nakate Shivprasad Madan, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as Managing Director of Rajasthan Energy Development and IT Limited (REDIL), Jaipur. The appointment is part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle undertaken by the Rajasthan government to strengthen administrative efficiency across departments.

Prior to this, Madan was serving as Commissioner, Excise Department and Director (Prohibition), Udaipur. In this role, he was responsible for regulating excise administration, overseeing enforcement mechanisms, and implementing policies related to prohibition and revenue collection in the state.

Madan has held several important administrative assignments during his career, gaining experience in regulatory and governance roles. His new assignment at REDIL is expected to be crucial in advancing Rajasthan’s renewable energy initiatives and digital integration in the energy sector. The move aligns with the state’s broader push towards sustainable energy development and efficient public sector management.
