
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet notified new appointments, tenure extensions, and cadre repatriations across various departments & ministries of the Government of India.
Amit Yadav (IAS: 1991: AGMUT), Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) from 23.06.2025 to 02.07.2025 during the period of absence on leave of Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS: 1989: MH).
Aravind Kumar M K (IAS: 2011: PB), Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Power, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre with the condition of “extended cooling off”.

Brindha Boopathy (IRS C&IT: 2015) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) in the Department of Commerce for a period of four years. He was appointed by downgrading one of the vacant posts of Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (ADGFT) in DGTR as a one-time measure.
The tenure of Ashish Kumar Gupta (IOFS: 2002), Director in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, has been extended for a period of two years up to 15.07.2027. He counts his central deputation tenure w.e.f. 16.07.2020.

The tenure of Mustaq Ahmad (IDAS: 2006), Director in the Ministry of Mines, has been extended for a period of one year up to 06.06.2026. Ahmad is on central deputation tenure w.e.f. 07.06.2019.
The tenure of Kushagra Mittal (IRTS: 2010), Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been extended for a period of one year i.e., up to 10.08.2026. He counts his central deputation tenure w.e.f. 11.08.2020.
Balakrishnan V (IPS: 2003: TN) has been appointed as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF) against an existing vacancy.
Sanjeev Kumar Singla (IFS: 1997), presently Ambassador of India to France, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Principality of Monaco, with residence in Paris.
The tenure of Ajai Kumar Verma (IDSE: 2000), Director in CVC, has been extended for a period of one year i.e., up to 01.07.2026. Verma counts his central deputation tenure w.e.f. 02.07.2020.
