In a major administrative move aimed at boosting operational efficiency and streamlining police administration, the Punjab government has ordered the transfer and posting of nine IPS officers and one PPS officer across various field and departmental roles.

According to the official notification:

Varinder Kumar, a 1993-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Special Director General of Police (DGP) at the Punjab State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), Chandigarh. He takes over a previously vacant position.

Praveen Kumar Sinha, a 1994-batch IPS officer, has been entrusted with dual responsibilities—serving as Additional DGP (Intelligence), Punjab, as well as Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.

R.K. Jaiswal, a 1997-batch IPS officer, has been named ADGP, NRI Affairs, Punjab, SAS Nagar. He is currently listed as Awaiting Posting and replaces Praveen Kumar Sinha in this role.

Kuldeep Singh Chahal, from the 2009 IPS batch, has been posted as DIG, Technical Services, Punjab, Chandigarh, taking over a vacant position.

Harjeet Singh, a 2010-batch IPS officer, has been appointed DIG, Training, Punjab, Chandigarh. Additionally, he will serve as DIG, Bathinda Range, Bathinda.

Nanak Singh, a 2011-batch IPS officer, will now assume the post of DIG, Patiala Range, Patiala. This appointment follows the superannuation of Mandeep Singh Sidhu.

Varun Sharma, a 2014-batch IPS officer, has been posted as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patiala, taking over from Nanak Singh.

Tushar Gupta, from the 2018 IPS batch, has been designated as Awaiting Posting AIG, Provisioning, Punjab, Chandigarh. He will also serve as SSP, Sadak Surakhya Force, Punjab, Chandigarh, replacing Varun Sharma.

Maninder Singh, a 2019-batch IPS officer, has been posted as AIG, Welfare, Punjab, Chandigarh, and will concurrently hold the charge of SSP, Amritsar (Rural).

Meanwhile, PPS officer Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh has been marked as Awaiting Posting AIG, NRI, Jalandhar, and Commandant, Kapurthala
