Rajasthan is focusing on strengthening sports infrastructure and creating more opportunities for young athletes. The state government is also expanding initiatives related to youth development, employment, and skill building.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted these efforts at the closing ceremony of the 51st Sub-Junior and Junior National Yogasana Sports Championship at Alankar PG College on Tuesday. He said the government was working to improve sports infrastructure and provide more opportunities for athletes.
Speaking about yoga, Sharma said it had become part of daily life for people in several countries. He also referred to the United Nations decision to observe June 21 as International Yoga Day. He urged people to avoid substance abuse and make yoga part of their daily routine.

The Chief Minister said Atal Gyan Kendras were being established in villages. These centres will have facilities such as online classes and e-libraries. Sports grounds were also being developed in every panchayat.
Sharma said 1.93 lakh appointments had been made so far. Recruitment was underway for another 1.18 lakh posts. The government had also issued a recruitment calendar for more than 1.25 lakh posts.

In the private sector, the government had facilitated employment for 5 lakh young people. A centre offering language training for employment opportunities in five countries has also been started in Jaipur. The centre aims to support young people seeking jobs abroad.
Sharma said the government had introduced the Rajasthan Youth Policy-2025. It was also working to strengthen sports infrastructure and create more opportunities for athletes.

Sports Development Drive:
The Rajasthan TOPS scheme has been implemented to prepare state athletes for the Olympic Games. In addition, 17 new Khelo India Centres are being established across the state.
Grants amounting to ₹40.12 crore have been sanctioned for 1,786 athletes, Sharma said.
On examination paper leaks, Sharma said no paper leak had occurred during the present government’s tenure. He urged young people to focus on their preparation and said the government would support their efforts.
At the closing ceremony, Sharma presented trophies to the top three teams. West Bengal finished first, followed by Haryana in second place and Maharashtra in third.
The Rajasthan team also presented a musical Yogasana performance at the event.
MP Rao Rajendra Singh, Alankar PG College Chairman Lalchand Kataria, Padma Shri Gulabo Sapera, Asian Yoga Federation President Ashok Kumar Agrawal, public representatives, representatives of various yoga federations, and participants from across the country attended the programme.
