Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh AI & Health Innovation Conference 2026, held on 12–13 January 2026 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, brought together policymakers, healthcare experts, technology leaders, startups, and industry stakeholders to discuss the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in strengthening healthcare systems and advancing digital transformation. During the inaugural session, Shri Ajit Singh Pal, Hon’ble Minister of State, IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, highlighted the state’s efforts to leverage AI and emerging technologies for healthcare innovation and broader socio-economic development.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasised that AI is rapidly emerging as a transformative force across sectors, particularly in healthcare and information technology. He highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to create an innovation-driven ecosystem that supports technological advancement and enhances public service delivery.

Speaking about the state’s AI-focused initiatives, he noted that emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning have the potential to improve healthcare accessibility, strengthen service delivery, and support more efficient medical systems. The adoption of technology-driven solutions, he said, can play a critical role in enabling better outcomes and accelerating digital transformation.

The conference featured discussions around key areas including AI, digital health, telemedicine, smart medical services, and the integration of technology into healthcare systems. Deliberations focused on identifying practical solutions and strengthening collaboration among policymakers, healthcare institutions, technology providers, and innovators.

Highlighting the broader technology roadmap, the Minister stressed the importance of strengthening research capabilities and encouraging innovation-led growth. He noted that technology-driven collaborations can support capacity building and create opportunities for the development of scalable healthcare solutions.

He also acknowledged the contribution of government departments, technical teams, industry stakeholders, and partner organisations in supporting initiatives aimed at advancing AI-led transformation in healthcare and governance.
