In a major step towards creating a technology-driven experience for the textile industry, Textile Secretary Neelam Shami Rao on Tuesday launched the Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App, a unified digital platform designed to support buyers, exhibitors, delegates and visitors participating in Bharat Tex 2026.

The app has been developed as a comprehensive digital companion for the textile community and reflects the event’s digital-first approach aimed at improving networking, business interactions and visitor convenience.

Bharat Tex 2026 to Be Held at Bharat Mandapam

Bharat Tex 2026, one of India’s largest global textile events, will take place from July 14 to 17, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The event is expected to witness participation from across the global textile ecosystem, including:

  • More than 7,000 international buyers
  • Over 1.3 lakh trade visitors
  • Industry leaders and global stakeholders

The exhibition will showcase India’s complete textile value chain ranging from fibres and yarns to apparel, technical textiles, handlooms, handicrafts and sustainable textile solutions.

Mobile App Designed as Unified Digital Platform

The Bharat Tex 2026 app aims to provide participants with a single platform for accessing information and managing event activities.

Key features of the application include:

  • Event navigation and venue guidance
  • Exhibitor discovery tools
  • B2B meeting scheduling
  • Digital badges
  • QR-based lead capture
  • Session access and agenda planning
  • Real-time alerts and updates

Officials said the platform has been designed to cater to exhibitors, overseas buyers, sourcing consultants, speakers and delegates.

AI-Powered Smart Assistant for Real-Time Support

One of the major highlights of the app is an AI-powered Smart Assistant that will function as a 24×7 digital support system for attendees.

Users will be able to ask simple questions and receive instant information related to:

  • Venue details
  • Event schedules
  • Directions and booth locations
  • Session timings
  • General event assistance

The feature is expected to improve convenience and accessibility for both domestic and international visitors.

Networking and Lead Management Tools Added

The application will also support business interactions through dedicated networking tools.

Participants can:

  • Search relevant business contacts
  • Send and manage meeting requests
  • Track confirmed meetings
  • Capture and store digital leads

The QR-based Lead Wallet system will allow users to scan digital badges and securely save contact details for future engagement.

Event Inspired by PM Modi’s 5F Vision

Bharat Tex 2026 is being organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation with support from the Ministry of Textiles.

The event draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F vision:

Farm → Fibre → Factory → Fashion → Foreign

The initiative aims to position India as a globally competitive, sustainable and innovation-led textile destination.

Officials believe the launch of the mobile app will further strengthen Bharat Tex’s goal of creating a seamless and technology-enabled experience for participants from around the world.
