Mumbai | May 20, 2026

The TechMahaImpacT 2026, Maharashtra’s Premier CSR & Technology Conclave, concluded successfully on May 20, 2026 in Mumbai, bringing together senior government leaders, policymakers, technology experts, CSR heads, industry stakeholders, and development organisations to deliberate on how technology, AI, governance, and CSR can together accelerate inclusive growth across Maharashtra.

Organised by Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation Ltd. (MahaIT) in collaboration with Elets Technomedia, the summit witnessed participation from more than 1,000 delegates and saw 24 organisations commit nearly ₹155.75 crore towards CSR-led development initiatives across the state.

The summit focused on key themes, including AI in governance, digital public infrastructure, healthcare, education, district transformation, cybersecurity, and inclusive development through technology-based CSR collaboration. With Brihaspathi Technologies as the Presenting Partner and Iron Mountain as the Powered By Partner, the event was further strengthened by EY as the Knowledge Partner and eGov magazine as the Strategic Partner.

TechMahaImpacT 2026 Opens with Focus on Inclusive Growth & Digital Governance

The conclave commenced with an Introductory Address by Bhagwan Patil, COO, MahaIT, who highlighted Maharashtra’s strong CSR ecosystem and noted that the state attracted nearly ₹6,000 crore in CSR funding during FY 2023–24. He emphasised the need to expand CSR initiatives beyond major urban centres and ensure wider regional impact across Maharashtra.

Delivering the welcome address, Dr Ravi Gupta, Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Elets Technomedia, described TechMahaImpacT 2026 as a platform bringing together government vision and industry participation to drive meaningful social impact through technology and CSR collaboration.

In his special address, Hemant Dalavi, Deputy Director, Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Maharashtra State, highlighted Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of preserving the state’s forts, museums, and historical assets through sustained conservation efforts and public engagement.

Inaugural Session Highlights Maharashtra’s Vision for Technology-Led Social Impact

The Inaugural session featured a ceremonial lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Honourable Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra; Smt. Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Honourable Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra; Adv. Delivering the Opening Remarks, Sanjay Shripatrao Katkar stated that the Government of Maharashtra aims to facilitate, rather than regulate, the CSR ecosystem in the state. He highlighted that MahaIT is developing a dedicated CSR platform to enable complete visibility into onboarding, execution, and compliance for corporates, donors, and implementing agencies.

In his Special Address, Rajesh Aggarwal highlighted Maharashtra’s leadership across GDP growth, GST collections, infrastructure, electronics manufacturing, green energy, GCC expansion, and AI-led governance initiatives. Ministerial Addresses

At the inaugural session of TechMahaImpacT 2026, Maharashtra’s leadership highlighted the growing role of technology and CSR in driving inclusive development across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Adv. Ashish Shelar, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Government of Maharashtra, described the initiative as a unique platform that combines technology with social purpose. He emphasised that while technology events often focus only on innovation, TechMahaImpacT demonstrated how IT and AI can directly improve citizen welfare. He noted that 24 organisations and companies had committed nearly ₹155.75 crore towards social upliftment initiatives across Maharashtra.

Smt. Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, underlined that technology should simplify governance and improve citizen access to services. Appreciating the participating organisations, she said the MoUs signed during the summit reflected a collective commitment towards social welfare and assured stakeholders that the committed resources would be utilised effectively for meaningful impact.

In his keynote address, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, congratulated MahaIT for conceptualising a CSR-focused technology conclave that brought together government, corporates, and development partners. Recalling the success of the Village Social Transformation Foundation launched in 2015, he stressed that collaboration between government and CSR organisations can ensure more impactful and scalable development across Maharashtra.

Industry Presentations Focus on AI, Governance & Digital Infrastructure

The summit featured multiple industry and technical presentations from organisations including Brihaspathi Technologies, Iron Mountain, EY India, Cisco India, Dell Technologies, Esri India, Union Bank of India, and IDBI Bank.

The sessions focused on AI-powered governance, cybersecurity readiness, digital governance backbone infrastructure, geospatial intelligence, citizen-centric technology services, and inclusive digital transformation.

A technical presentation by Protean on the CSR Portal also highlighted how digital platforms can improve CSR transparency, compliance, onboarding, and impact tracking.

A major highlight of TechMahaImpacT 2026 was a series of thematic panel discussions focusing on AI-driven governance, healthcare, education, employability, and district transformation. Bringing together senior government officials, industry leaders, CSR heads, and social sector experts, the sessions explored how technology and collaboration can drive inclusive and sustainable development across Maharashtra.

The summit also witnessed the signing of multiple MoUs between MahaIT and leading organisations, including Fortinet, Cisco, UNICEF India, Piramal Foundation, Wadhwani Foundation, Protean eGov Technologies, Tejas Networks, Rapido, D-Link India, and Brihaspathi Technologies Ltd., to strengthen technology-led social impact initiatives across the state.

Further enriching the event, a special edition of eGov magazine titled “Reimagining CSR Through Technology, Governance & Impact” was launched, highlighting innovation, digital collaboration, and inclusive development.

TechMahaImpacT 2026 featured a Recognition Ceremony honouring outstanding contributions to CSR and digital governance across Maharashtra. Delivering the valedictory address, Sanjay Shripatrao Katkar, IAS, Managing Director, MahaIT, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to building an outcome-driven, technology-enabled CSR ecosystem that creates measurable social impact across every district of Maharashtra.
