The Delhi Government has announced free travel in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses for candidates appearing in the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21.
The facility will be available to candidates upon presentation of their valid NEET-UG 2026 admit card while travelling on DTC buses.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who said the decision has been taken to support students appearing for the re-examination following the cancellation of the NEET-UG exam conducted on May 3 by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Under the arrangement, candidates will be able to travel free of cost on all DTC buses on the examination day by showing their admit cards to the bus conductor.
The Chief Minister stated that the initiative is intended to ensure that students reach their examination centres without facing transportation-related difficulties.
According to the government, the measure has been introduced keeping in view the challenges faced by candidates after the cancellation of the earlier examination and the subsequent scheduling of the re-test.
The Chief Minister’s Office said that all NEET-UG 2026 candidates travelling on DTC buses on June 21 will be eligible for the facility. Students have been advised to carry their admit cards while commuting to their respective examination centres.
The government stated that the initiative is aimed at facilitating smooth travel arrangements for candidates appearing in the examination and ensuring hassle-free access to examination venues across the city.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 21, and the free travel facility will remain available throughout the day for eligible candidates travelling on DTC services.
The decision is expected to benefit a large number of students appearing for the examination by providing transport support on the day of the re-test.
