In a major administrative step to strengthen policing and improve law and order, the Madhya Pradesh government has deployed senior IPS officers across all divisions in the state, ensuring closer monitoring and better coordination at the ground level.

The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Bhopal, where the state’s internal security and policing efficiency were reviewed. Officials said the move is aimed at bringing more accountability, faster decision-making, and real-time supervision across divisions.

Under the new arrangement, senior IPS officers will directly oversee divisional functioning, helping bridge gaps between districts and ensuring smoother implementation of law enforcement strategies.

As per the order, the following officers have been assigned divisional responsibilities:

Varun Kapoor – Bhopal Division
Upendra Kumar Jain – Ujjain Division
G Akheto Sema – Chambal Division
Pankaj Kumar Srivastava – Jabalpur Division
Anant Kumar Singh – Sagar Division
Rajababu Singh – Shahdol Division

The government has also clarified that earlier postings will continue as they are:

Pragya Richa Srivastava – Gwalior Division
Adarsh Katiyar – Indore Division
Anil Kumar – Rewa Division

The objective behind this move is clear—strengthen oversight, improve coordination between districts, and ensure quicker response to law and order situations. By placing senior officers at the divisional level, the government aims to create a more structured and responsive policing system.
