New Delhi, April 17, 2026: The Government of Karnataka convened an Open Dialogue with Industry in the national capital as a precursor to the 29th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026, scheduled to be held from November 17–19 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. Held at Taj Palace, the dialogue served as a strategic curtain raiser to the flagship global technology event, which is scheduled to take place from November 17 to 19, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre under the theme ‘AI & Beyond’.

The high-level engagement witnessed participation from industry captains, startup founders, unicorn leaders, investors, R&D stakeholders, and representatives from prominent industry bodies including STPI, NASSCOM, IESA, TiE, IVCA, and ABLE. The discussions reflected a wide spectrum of perspectives on opportunities and challenges shaping India’s technology landscape, with a strong focus on emerging and high-impact sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, fintech, electric mobility, digital infrastructure, and life sciences.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology & Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka, emphasised the state’s position as a leading global innovation hub. He invited industry stakeholders to actively collaborate and contribute to the next phase of technological advancement through BTS 2026. Dr. N. Manjula, IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, presented an overview of the state’s robust and evolving technology ecosystem.

The event also featured key insights from senior government and industry leaders, including Ateesh Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, DPIIT; Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Biocon Group; Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI; and Debjani Ghosh, NITI Aayog, among others. Their remarks underscored the importance of policy support, innovation-led growth, and public-private partnerships in driving India’s digital transformation journey.

BTS 2026 is expected to host over 1,800 exhibitors, 25,000 delegates, and more than 60,000 visitors from 75+ countries, making it one of the most influential global platforms for technology, innovation, and collaboration. The summit will feature 16 thematic tracks spanning AI & DeepTech, fintech, health and biotech, spacetech, and digital infrastructure, alongside emerging domains such as circular economy and electric mobility. A key highlight will be the co-location of the inaugural Embedded World India, aimed at strengthening India’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem through global partnerships.

With its expanded scale and forward-looking agenda, BTS 2026 is poised to reinforce Karnataka’s leadership in technology and innovation, while the Delhi dialogue marks a crucial step in fostering deeper industry engagement and setting the tone for impactful global participation.
