Dr Gaurav Saini, a 2017-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA). The appointment comes as part of a wider administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening urban governance and planning in the state.

Before this, Dr Saini was serving as Commissioner, Jaipur Municipal Corporation and Chief Executive Officer, Jaipur Smart City Limited, Jaipur. In these roles, he was actively involved in urban infrastructure development, municipal administration, and execution of smart city projects.

Dr Saini has built experience in urban governance and city-level project implementation. His new role at JDA will involve overseeing urban planning, development control, and infrastructure expansion in Jaipur. His prior experience in municipal and smart city administration is expected to support integrated urban development in the state capital.
