Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a large-scale administrative reshuffle, issuing a second transfer list of 24 IAS officers within a day. With this, a total of 64 IAS officers have been transferred in roughly 18 hours, including changes in 25 districts where new District Magistrates (DMs) have been posted.
The latest order, released on Monday evening, includes 24 officers, among them eight women. Ten districts have seen a change of District Magistrates in this round, adding to the earlier reshuffle.
A day earlier, around 1 AM on Sunday, the government had transferred 40 IAS officers in its first list. That exercise involved changes in 15 districts and also included the transfer of five Chief Development Officers (CDOs).

- 13 relatively young IAS officers assigned DM charge for the first time
Key district-level postings and transfers
- Shashank Tripathi moved from Barabanki to take charge as DM Ayodhya
- Ishan Pratap Singh appointed DM Barabanki; earlier serving in the Chief Minister’s Office
- Nikhil Tikaram Funde shifted from Ayodhya to the Chief Minister’s Office as Special Secretary
- Avinash Kumar transferred from Ghazipur to Aligarh as DM
- Arvind Singh posted as DM Etah from the Revenue Council
- Amit Asari moved from PWD to head Banda district
- Dr Ankur Lather appointed DM Farrukhabad from a development authority posting
- Kavita Meena given charge as DM Hapur
- Isha Priya posted as DM Ambedkar Nagar from the Secretariat
- Charchit Gaur appointed DM Sonbhadra from UPSIDA
- Anupam Shukla shifted from Ambedkar Nagar to Ghazipur as DM

- Prem Ranjan Singh moved from Etah to State Project Director (SSA) and Director, Mid-Day Meal
- Abhishek Pandey shifted from Hapur to Additional Land Management Commissioner
- Sanjeev Ranjan moved from Aligarh to the Agriculture Department as Special Secretary
- J Reebha transferred from Banda to Special Secretary, Geology and Mining
- Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi shifted from Farrukhabad to Special Secretary, PWD
- Badrinath Singh moved from Sonbhadra to Special Secretary, Higher Education

- Abhinav J Jain appointed CDO Kanpur Nagar
- Diksha Joshi posted as CDO Sitapur
Officials said the reshuffle is part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at improving field-level governance and aligning officers with current priorities. The newly posted officers are expected to take charge at the earliest.
