The Delhi government on Tuesday announced a major bureaucratic reshuffle involving seven IAS and nine DANICS officers, introducing several new postings and additional charges across critical departments including Public Works, Urban Development, Social Welfare, and Land & Building.

The reshuffle comes alongside the removal of IAS officer Talo Potom, who was recently arrested in Arunachal Pradesh and now faces suspension pending approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

IAS Officers Transferred and Assigned New Charges

  • Hemant Kumar (IAS:2013:AGMUT) — Special CEO (DDMA) and Special Commissioner (Development) receives additional charge of Special Secretary (Urban Development).
  • Suneel Anchpika (IAS:2014:AGMUT) — Special Commissioner (Trade & Taxes) and Special Secretary (Tourism) assigned additional charge of Special Secretary (PWD).
  • Eda Raja Babu (IAS:2014:AGMUT) — Additional CEO (DJB) transferred and posted as Special Registrar (Cooperative Societies).
  • Yash Chaudhary (IAS:2017:AGMUT) — Director (Social Welfare) and Special Secretary (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities) given additional charge of Special Secretary (Health).
  • Amol Srivastava (IAS:2018:AGMUT) — Deputy Commissioner (East) receives additional charge of Special Secretary (Land & Building).
  • Kanika (IAS:2022:AGMUT) — Previously awaiting posting, appointed SDM (Alipur).
  • Raghvendra Meena (IAS:2022:AGMUT) — Previously awaiting posting, appointed SDM (Karawal Nagar). 

DANICS Officers Transferred or Given Additional Charges

  • KC Surender (DANICS:2001) — Special Director (Administrative Reforms) and Special Secretary (Urban Development) posted as Deputy Commissioner (MCD).
  • Pranjal J Hazarika (DANICS:2006) — General Manager (DSCSC) assigned additional charge of Director (DUSIB). 
  • Dharmendra Kumar (DANICS:2008) — Additional Secretary to Chief Minister given additional charge of Administrator, DCCWS.
  • Prashant Kumar (DANICS:2010) — Additional Secretary (PG Cell) in the CM Office assigned additional charge of Managing Director, DCHFC. 
  • Nagendra S Pati Tripathi (DANICS:2011) — Previously awaiting posting, appointed Joint Secretary-cum-Joint Director (Administrative Reforms) and Joint Secretary (Art, Culture & Languages).
  • Mukesh Rajora (DANICS:2013) — General Manager (DCCWS) posted as ADM (HQ), Revenue Department. 
  • Radhey Shyam Meena (DANICS:2017) — Joint Secretary (Land & Building) transferred as Director (DJB).
  • Tapadiya Shrikant Rajendra Prasad (DANICS:2018) — SDM (Alipur) transferred as Deputy Commissioner, Department of Food Safety.
  • Amod Barthwal (DANICS:2022) — SDM (Karawal Nagar) transferred as SDM (Vivek Vihar).

Strategic Objectives

According to official sources, the reshuffle aims to streamline administrative operations across Delhi’s governance framework, enhance departmental coordination, and address existing vacancies resulting from recent disciplinary actions and organizational restructuring. The move underscores the government’s focus on ensuring efficiency, accountability, and continuity in the capital’s administrative machinery.
