Telangana’s cabinet has approved fresh investments worth Rs 3,745 crore from three multinational companies, a move expected to transform the state’s industrial and agricultural sectors while generating 1,518 direct jobs.
The state’s Industrial Promotion Cabinet Sub-Committee, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, cleared the projects during a high-level meeting at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat on Tuesday
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages will establish a large-scale plant in Siddipet district with an investment of Rs 2,398 crore, creating 600 jobs. The unit is also expected to boost demand for mangoes and oranges, directly benefiting Telangana’s fruit farmers.
JSW UAV Limited plans a Rs 785 crore drone manufacturing facility at Maheshwaram, generating 364 jobs, while Toshiba Transmission and Distribution Systems will set up a Gas Insulated Switchgear and Bushings plant with a capital outlay of Rs 562 crore, creating 554 jobs.
“Multinational companies are choosing Telangana for large-scale investments, generating employment for youth and incentivising fruit farmers,” said Deputy CM Mallu, highlighting that proactive industrial policies and sector-specific incentives have positioned Telangana as a preferred destination for global investors.
