Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth ₹12,000 crore in Gaya, reaffirming the Centre’s commitment to accelerating Bihar’s growth across key sectors such as energy, healthcare, railways, and urban infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister lauded Gaya ji’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, calling it “a sacred land of knowledge and liberation.” He highlighted the historic significance of the region while emphasizing the NDA government’s focus on comprehensive development for Bihar.
The projects inaugurated include the Buxar Thermal Power Plant worth ₹6,880 crore, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre at Muzaffarpur, multiple sewerage and urban infrastructure initiatives under Namami Gange and AMRUT 2.0, as well as key highway and rail connectivity upgrades such as the Aunta–Simaria bridge and Amrit Bharat Express between Gaya and Delhi.
The Prime Minister underscored that these initiatives will boost industrial capacity, generate employment opportunities, enhance healthcare access, and strengthen connectivity across Bihar. He reiterated his government’s resolve to provide pucca houses to every needy family, highlighting that over 38 lakh homes have been constructed in Bihar under PMAY, bringing dignity and basic amenities to the poor.
On national security, Shri Modi asserted that “Operation Sindoor has drawn a new line in India’s defence strategy” and warned that infiltrators would not be allowed to threaten India’s future, stressing that every infiltrator will be expelled without exception. He also announced a forthcoming Demography Mission to safeguard employment opportunities and resources for Indian citizens.

Reaffirming the NDA’s focus on transparency, jobs for Bihar’s youth, and the fight against corruption, the Prime Minister announced the introduction of a stringent anti-corruption law that would apply even to the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, and Ministers, ensuring no office-bearer escapes accountability.
The Governor of Bihar Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, and several Union Ministers joined the event, marking it as a significant milestone in Bihar’s developmental journey.
