
The Kerala State IT Mission, operating under the aegis of the Electronics & IT Department, Government of Kerala, in collaboration with Elets Technomedia, is all set to organise the Elets DigiGovernance Knowledge Exchange Summit on 20 June 2025 at The Leela, Kovalam. This flagship event aims to accelerate conversations around India’s digital governance landscape, with a focus on transparency, streamlined citizen services, and automation of administrative workflows.
The summit will be chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, whose leadership has placed Kerala at the forefront of digital innovation in governance. Supporting the initiative are Seeram Sambasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary, Electronics and IT Department, Government of Kerala, and Chairman, Kerala State IT Mission, who will serve as Programme Co-Chair, and Sandip Kumar, IAS, Director, Kerala State IT Mission.

The event will witness participation from an illustrious panel of speakers and policymakers, including Ashok Kumar K Meena, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India; Anju Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat; K.R. Jyothilal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala; Sanjay Dubey, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh; Abha Shukla, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Dr Usha Titus, IAS, Chairman & Managing Director, Additional Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP), Government of Kerala among many others key dignitaries. These leaders will bring forth insights on leveraging technology for effective public service delivery, citizen engagement, and data-driven governance.

Key topics to be discussed include Public Service Transformation through Digital Innovations, Predictive Analytics and GenAI for Proactive Governance, Achieving Universal Access to Clean Water and Sanitation, Effective v-Governance enabled by PeopleLink Video Collaboration, Clean Tech Breakthroughs and the New Energy Era, Cybersecurity in the AI age, and Innovative Solutions for Citizen-Centric Communication.

A major highlight of the summit will be the launch of a special edition of the eGov Magazine, which will be dedicated to Kerala’s groundbreaking journey in digital governance. This special captures the state’s visionary policies, transformative projects, and integrated platforms such as KFON, Akshaya Centres, Ente Bhoomi, eSevanam, and USDP. It aims to serve as a national reference for how digital governance can be inclusive, efficient, and scalable.

Adding to the occasion will be the Elets DigiGovernance Excellence Awards 2025, which will recognise exemplary digital governance initiatives and innovations across India. These awards will be presented during the summit to honour organisations and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in deploying digital solutions to improve governance and service delivery.
The summit is receiving strong institutional support from leading government entities such as KELTRON, KFON, KSITIL, C-DIT, KITFRA, Smart City Trivandrum, K-DISC, ICT Academy Kerala, and Technopark. This 13th edition of the Elets Knowledge Exchange Summit comes at a time when India’s digital economy—contributing USD 402 billion or 11.74% of GDP in 2022–23—is on a growth trajectory to touch 20% of GDP by 2029–30. Powered by technologies like Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, and a robust base of global capability centres, India is poised to become a digital governance superpower. The summit will offer a dynamic platform to explore emerging solutions and policy models aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
