CoRover, the Bengaluru-based leader in human-centric conversational AI, announced the global launch of its new Small Language Model (SLM), BharatGPT Mini, at VivaTech Paris 2025. The model, trained on CoRover’s proprietary conversational dataset, is designed to be compact with 534 million parameters and supports 14 Indic languages, bringing scalable AI capabilities to the masses in a resource-efficient format.

The launch ceremony was graced by Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT, marking the Government of India’s strong backing for indigenous AI innovations. BharatGPT Mini can operate offline, making it an ideal solution for real-time applications in sectors such as healthcare, education, banking, and governance, especially in rural and remote regions where internet connectivity is limited.

The model is optimised for both edge and server deployments, ensuring low-latency performance on low-end devices without dependence on cloud infrastructure. This makes BharatGPT Mini especially relevant for small and medium businesses that require cost-effective AI solutions with strong data privacy controls.

Initially rolled out on a limited-access basis, BharatGPT Mini is available through CoRover Builder, a no-code/low-code platform allowing rapid development of multilingual AI Assistants. These virtual agents support voice, text, and video interaction and can be integrated across platforms, including websites, mobile apps, telephony systems, and IoT interfaces.

Backed by its parent model BharatGPT, CoRover’s broader vision is to create a sovereign, generative AI ecosystem that aligns with India’s linguistic diversity, data localisation needs, and digital inclusion goals. BharatGPT supports voice interaction in over 14 Indian languages and text capabilities in 22+ languages, developed in collaboration with BHASHINI, a MeitY initiative under the National Language Translation Mission.

In addition to conversational capabilities, BharatGPT is equipped with advanced features such as voice/video cloning, real-time analytics, sentiment analysis, payment gateway integration, Aadhar-based KYC, and API/ERP/CRM compatibility. Use cases span a wide range, from HealthGPT, GSTGPT, and KisanGPT, to state-level and even international variants like BritGPT and NipponGPT.

CoRover is already powering AI Assistants for leading organisations like IRCTC, LIC, NPCI, Mahindra, Indian Navy, and BHIM-UPI, serving over 1 billion users.
